Dr. Alexander Lewis is a physician specializing in dermatology and dermatologic surgery and is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Lewis specializes in skin cancer detection and treatment, cosmetic skin surgery, laser surgery and has a special interest in hair restoration. He is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Doctor Lewis has been associated with the Stanford University School of Medicine since 1976. He currently holds the position of Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology. At Stanford, Dr. Lewis has lectured on hair restoration techniques and science. Since 1980 he has been honored to teach skin surgery to both medical students and doctors in post-graduate residency training.

Dr. Lewis is a resident of Contra Costa County where he is active in various civic groups and participates in programs for patient education in the field of dermatology. He is married with two children, an avid sailor of San Francisco Bay, a supporter of the arts in the Bay Area, an enthusiastic landscape photographer and an aficionado of Italian motor scooters.
